I read the DME without any problem.
There are two white wires: one is pure white, and the other has a red stripe. The correct wire to use is the pure white one.

Cable Connection Guide:
Connect the multifunction cable as follows:
RED: + 12V 1, 22, 40
BLACK: GROUND 2
BLUE: CAN-H 43
ORANGE: CAN-L 44
WHITE 16
BROWN 43
