Tested: ECUHELP KT200 ECU Programmer is able to read/write PSA Peugeot Citroen old dinosaur EDC15C2 ECUs Bench mode failed, via OBD yes, Pinout Mode yes, boot mode yes.
1. On Bench: Tested Failed
Look at the error message below:
2. OBD Mode: Yes
OBD reads Yes.
Note that OBD is only for flash, not for eeprom. It can’t perform cloning tasks.
If the car isn’t present, OBD operations are not feasible.
2. Pinout Mode: Yes
Using ECUHELP KT200, you can perfectly access the old PSA EDC15C2 on bench. Manual checksum can be done with winols.Full system work very well, have make many edc15c2 full backup.
This old ECU requires a significant amount of wiring, including additional connections with 3x120ohm resistors.
To recognize the EDC15C2 Peugeot ECU, it’s essential to press the ID multiple times. Although the initial attempt may not be successful, the second attempt generally is yes.
The procedure includes: Reading and writing egr off cheksum manually.
Both 3 plug and 1 plug versions of the EDC15C2 have been handled seamlessly.
edc15c2 1 plug wiring.
For FULL MODE modality use also:
– Rainbow flat cable
– 3 resistores 120 Ohm
Note:
Connect also the rainbow flat cable as shown in the figure only to communicate with the FULL MODE driver.
KT200 read and write the Flash and the EEPROM using the FULL MODE driver, in addition to the multifunction cable, also connect the violet, orange and brown wires of the rainbow flat via a 120 Ohm protection resistor. In this way the ECU will enter Full Mode mode.

3. Boot Mode: Confirmed
Steps of KT200 Interfaces with PSA EDC15C2 in Boot Mode:
Required Equipment:
– Multifunction cable
Connect multifunction cable as follows.

If the ECU doesn’t enter boot mode, proceed as follows:
→ Switch off the ECU and remove the grey wire.
→ Connect directly to ground the boot pin with a needle.
→ Switch on the ECU.
→ Remove the ground.
→ Launch the driver and click the read / write buttons.
Question!
Upon reading Edc15C2 PSA ECU ID, why are there dots in the place of the data? lt read and wrote flash and eprom.
Old ecu so cannot decode data but still works. He identifies with dots but reads and writes good.
Due to the ECU’s age, data decoding isn’t possible, yet the unit functions adequately. While identification appears as dots, reading and writing processes are good.
